The celebrations of love are as a field of flowers in spring and the heart in love is always blooming with expressions of it. We may be in love with God as we may be in love with the man or woman of our dreams. God, after all, was the first who compared His love for us as husband to bride. We are called to love God with all of our heart. We love Him not only as an act of our will, but with the inclinations of our highest affections. We are in love with Him, staggered and captured by His beauty. His name is oil poured out.
Yesterday, I sent my daughters this wonderful declaration of divine romance. “A woman’s heart should be so lost in God, that a man needs to seek Him in order to find her.” So it should be for us all. 2/16/2008 ts
