“Grace is but glory begun, and glory is but grace perfected.” –Jonathan Edwards

“Set you affections of things above.” Col.3

Any grace that comes to us in this life is intended, in one sense, to prepare us to live in the next. This in no way diminishes our present life; it redeems it. God's enabling power helps us experience life in the here and now as one expression of the glory to come. When we pray for God's Kingdom and will to come in the here and now, we answer that prayer if only in our desire that it be so, and more so, by our own personal obedience. Responding to this grace this way means that life in the here and now, becomes, as one brother described it, “the lower reaches of Heaven.” Conversations Within ts 6/14/2012 (Jax, FL)
