Being able to adapt begins with an attitude that gratefully accepts what God has decided to allow. Once we see His hand in all things we are able to take it, and like a trusting child, follow Him in it. Contentment is the peaceful response of doing so. It is not so much that we throw our hands up and say, “Oh well, I will just have to accept things the way they are.” No, to wisely adapt is not only to accept, but also calmly act in such a manner that seeks God’s good intentions in what He allows.
