As long as we make excuses for bad behavior, we are not being honest with ourselves. We must want deliverance if we are to have it, and we must stop making excuses for it before we can really desire it. We cannot be honest with God if we are not honest with ourselves. A mouth cannot make excuses and make honest confession of need at the same time.
