Our generation balks at the idea of even being a sheep. We elevate ourselves above the need to be led when in fact everybody follows somebody, even if it is only another’s ideas. The question isn’t whether we are lead, but who is leading, who are we following? Without apology, Jesus invites us to follow Him. He is not asking us to do what He says, but to live life alongside Him, doing what He himself is unashamed to do. The best leader not only leads by example; his example is worth following.
