The world needs all the compassion we can give it, and we have the privilege to wake each day and find new ways to show it.

Do not let your passions get in the way of your compassion. In fact be passionate about expressing it. Compassion isn’t deserved; it flows freely as the attitude and action of Christlike love, and spreads benefit to everyone without distinction, even if they haven’t asked for it, and probably don’t know that they need it.
