When our daughter Sarah was a child, we took her to watch the July 4th firework’s show on the 15th Street Bridge over the Savannah River in Augusta Georgia. Hundreds of people and a hundred foot drop off the bridge into the river meant that Brenda always held one her hands and I the other. Sarah never gave a thought to her safety and enjoyed the show nestled between us. Our heavenly Father often leads us into places which require His guidance and protection. Jesus assures us that we have it. We have in Christ the heart of a Father and the strength of the Lord God and are secure beyond measure. Our divine Dad holds us by the hand and never relaxes His grip, not for a moment. He does not want us to worry about our security but trust Him with childlike faith. He is the Good Parent, ever watching, leading, protecting and providing. Wherever you are this day in the obedience of faith the Lord God holds you by your right hand. Enjoy the show! 1/13/2009 ts
