People choose suffering all of the time instead of taking the easy way out. We may lose a promotion at work, even lose family members or friends because we refuse to compromise our convictions. People suffer for doing right all of the time. Those who do are told to patiently endure because beauty and wonder await everyone who seeks the kingdom of God over the temporal trinkets of this life. Our losses may be real but nothing compares to the reality that is secured in the simple words of Jesus on the cross, “It is finished.” Conversations Within ts 8/3/2012 (Alsea, OR)
