It makes sense to me that choice is necessary if there is any real love to exist between God and me. Even so, my choices do not always bring me what is good. I wish I could make up my mind to never make a bad choice again. But wishing doesn’t make it so. The truth is that we must make up our mind a hundred times a day if we would choose the superior delights of joy over some of the temporal pleasures that have enslaved us.
