In the final analysis, the fruit of my life will show if I am a good or bad banana. My beliefs, opinions, and actions will be judged good or bad by what they have produced. I am not referring to our standing before God. Forgiveness and acceptance is a gift--freely given to all who trust Christ, and that cannot be improved upon. Fruitfulness is different. Fruit is the worth and value of my life to God. I cannot repay God for His kindness, but I wish to be a good and fruitful son, not a worthless one who bums off grace.
