I am so easily lulled into that sleep that robs me of the joy of God’s presence. I want to wake up to Him and never sleep again. His friendship has enriched my every interaction and His company completes my joy. Sadly, I not only fall asleep to His presence, I sometimes choose to ignore Him--usually when I want something I know He does not approve of. I am never happy when I do this.
