Every fleeting pleasure is a shadow of the lasting joy that is found in God. Everything beautiful to our senses or to our soul is a means to enjoy not only the thing itself but to delight in its Creator. Wake to God and we wake to life. Drink deeply the wine of His presence and be intoxicated with His love. Lay hold of all God desires to be for us and we will at last come to that place of rest and discover all we can be to Him.
