For the Christians there is one thing and one thing only that is needed in any and every circumstance and that is to listen to the Spirit of Christ then look to Him for strength to do as He leads. What He instructs us to do in each circumstance may be different but the initial action, the one thing that is needed, is always the same, listen and lean on His understanding. Jesus called this abiding in Him. Paul called it walking by the Spirit. Peter referred to it as being holy. The funny thing is that this is precisely the one thing needed if you wonder how to hear the Spirit speaking to you. Listen to what Jesus said, “If you abide in me and my words abide in you, ask whatever you will and it shall be done for you.” 4/27/2010 Conversations Within ts
