“love...is not proud.”

True love is motivated by a genuine desire to benefit others not by some self serving pride to look good for doing so. This means that love doesn't mind working behind the scenes to help people and often will choose to do so. If we are not careful we can fall into the trap of becoming people pleasers to serve our ego instead of truly loving people. Any attention that I draw to myself is a waste of energy.
