Patience with our own failings can help us to have patience with the failings of others. The reason is that all patience is born from humility. A man who has come to terms with his own imperfections will be merciful with the imperfections found in those around him. And, we should come to terms with our shortcomings. We must learn to forgive ourselves before we can receive God's forgiveness. The power to forgive others is also the power to accept forgiveness.
