While I do not believe the Church has lost all its effectiveness in American, certain actions have certainly hurt our ability to positively influence society. My generation witnessed the failure of Christians to stand up and some even stood up on the wrong side, during the civil rights era. Every time we fail to follow the directives of Jesus, our witness suffers. It is hard to make up for a poor service record. This should make each of us think hard about what our words and actions say to those around us. Each of us individually reflects the testimony of the whole. 11/12/2009 Conversations Within ts
