"Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.
Why would we or should we regard persecution as a blessing. Well, the Scriptures suggest several reasons. One is the affirmation by our enemies and I mean the enemies of unrighteousness, that we are somehow a threat to the kingdom of darkness. This may explain one reason why they oppose us though not always. Second, persecution in Father’s hands helps to purge from us the remnants of that kingdom that remain in us. And third, we learn joyful contentment accepting from God not only our present circumstance but also the future promise of His reward in Glory. 11/9/2009 Conversations Within ts
