If humans are so prone to error and misjudgment, can anyone say with assurance that everything they believe and practice is without heresy? Probably not. I think there is one core heresy that gives birth to all the others. This would mean of course that there is one truth, which will remedy them all. Jesus named the heresy the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit and said it was the only unforgivable sin. The prima donna heresy of all others is to reject the living testimony of Jesus as it comes to us through the Holy Spirit. Conversely, we may be mistaken about any number of things but listening to Jesus is that “one thing which is needed” and which will lead us into all truth. 10/3/2009 Conversations Within ts
