I never liked being called “Preacher.” Who wants to be known as a mouth? The problem is that if you are called to it, there is little choice in the matter. The encouragement of Christ to pastors is to feed His sheep. Preachers and teachers like other professions have their own share of embarrassing moments but far worse and far more serious is a false teacher or preacher, who is likened to a well without water. How tragic to serve food that has no nutritional value or worse becomes poison when people feed on it. The harshest words of Jesus were to religious leaders—white washed sepulchers he called them. It may be uncomfortable even embarrassing to be called a mouth, but of far worse consequence, if your mouth is a grave. God save us from such! 10/6/2009 Conversations Within ts
