“...and if children, then heirs--heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.” Rom.8 ESV
No one likes to suffer or even witness the sufferings of others. But we should consider that if the Father was willing to sent His Son on a mission where He was to suffer and suffer greatly, no one in the service of the Kingdom is safe from it. If God sent His own dear Son into harms way He is surely willing to put us in harms way if it will serve His cause. Only when our Commander pulls us from the fray will we be completely and forever safe from all harm. Death of course is His usual way of bringing us home from the fight.
