Prayer is an attitude as much as an act. And, whether conscious or unconscious, prayer is the life breath of every child of God. Like physical breath, unconscious prayers are the mainstay not just our conscious prayers. We can and do take conscious breaths of prayer, but for the most part it is our unconscious attitude constantly expressing dependence on God that sustains us.
