“Set your affections on things above where Christ is seated...” Col.3
I have been privileged to hike and climb a number of mountains and rock faces. This week, two of my daughters, a friend and I climbed Pilot Rock, 325 ft.--a personal record for my highest accent and rappel on a rock face. But even when we reached the top there was more above us. There is always something higher, even those few who have summited earth's highest mountains have the heavens above them. This is so picturesque of our personal development as well. We never summit. We never reach a place where there is no room left to grow, at least not in this life. A few may reach great heights in human accomplishment but we still fall short of all that God intends for creatures made in His image. To reach the heights that God intends for us we will need the wings of regeneration, the very power of His Son living in us. 5/1/2011 Conversations Within ts (Pisgah National Forest, NC)
