“I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you.” Ps.82.6 ESV
God poetically tells His children that they are gods; gods with a little “g” that is. Made in His image, we each have powers, properties and influences. And, though the Father’s next sentence is that, “like men you will die,” He enjoins us to use what resources and influences we have to help the poor and needy and to seek justice for the oppressed. In other words, we are to act like Him as best we may and with His help --the little “g” acting on behalf of the big “G.” 6/1/2009 Conversations Within ts
