“Bring an offering…” Ps.96.8 NIV
I should think it important to keep life in perspective. The air we breathe, the land we live upon, the very processes, which sustain us, come from God. We are simple stewards and as such, we are encouraged to render to Him all that is due Him. Our lives are offered to the Lord in the particulars, which stem from life itself. We offer Him what He has entrusted to us-money, time, talent. According to Jesus, giving to God is one prescribed method where He actually gives to us. We offer Him thanks and He gives us an appreciative spirit. We offer Him our possessions and He multiplies them like seed. We offer Him our service and He creates community between people.
