We do not need to be concerned that God will answer the prayers of the destitute. Our concern should be that we realize when we are. And, if we understand what Jesus meant when He said, blessed are the poor in spirit and those who mourn, then we are all destitute. One rarely calls for help if they see no need to do so and Jesus is telling us that our spiritual poverty before God is great. But once we see this about ourselves, let us cry out, for we are promised that we will surely be rescued. What a sense of humor!
