After the Enlightenment, we came to understand the forces of gravity as both the cause as well as that, which keeps the pounding waves in place. Christians see no contradiction between true science and true faith. Science helps us discover natural law; faith helps us discover the hand that moves the hand of nature. Christians believe God uses natural means. It is the kind hand of our personal Lord, which keeps the waves from marching a path of destruction across the earth.
