“Winners forget they’re in a race, they just love to run.” With Honors

“Blessed is the man you discipline, O LORD.” Ps.94/12 NIV

We may not feel blessed when disciplined by God but it is a sure sign of His commitment to our maturity. I should think that discipline comes many times in the form of a simple opportunity to practice patience, love, faith or whatever else God desires to work in us. Of course, discipline is good for us only when we allow it to train us. When we don’t c0-operate lessons may need repeating. And, lessons may need repeating merely to turn obedience into character. In any case, we will enjoy life more when we accept discipline just as the athlete accepts conditioning as necessary to play the game. 6/15/2009 Conversations Within ts
