“Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.” Ps.103.2
When God tells us to sing His praise, it is not for His benefit but for our own. He invites us to shower in His refreshing waters to wash away to worries of this world. The interesting thing about being at peace or being worried is that it is much like being wet or being dry. You are either in the water-at peace, or out of the water-worried. Praise is one way to step into the shower. Consider another analogy, the benefit is not just knowing that the water in the glass will quench your thirst but from tuning up the cup and drinking. 6/25/2009 Conversations Within ts
