I heard that it takes a new Christian about a year to lose contact with their non-Christian associations. It is one thing to forgo one’s past sins and another to forsake your friends. If we never spend time with non-Christians, how can we bear witness to them of the beauty of Christ? If all we do is assemble in churches, how are those outside the faith to know His love? I think one key is to remind ourselves that though we are no longer of the world Jesus fully intends that we be in it. A simple test to determine our witness to those outside might be to see how many non-Christian friends are on your phone speed dial list. 6/30/2009 Conversations Within ts
