When we look to God, we cannot help but look up to Him even when we with utter amazement are looking down to see Him washing our feet. God epitomizes what it means to reign and, as He desires from everyone who is over another, He stoops to serve His people. Jesus told us clearly and with no little astonishment to us, that He did not come to be served but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many. It should not surprise us then that as His life grows in us, we too will live in service to others. In this simple life, we experience the joy of God. 7/20/2009 Conversations Within ts
