“He has shown his people the power of his works, giving them the lands of other nations.” Ps.111.6 NIV
God explained to Abraham that his descendants would have to wait four centuries before He would give them the Promised Land. The reason was that the nations occupying the land in Abraham’s time were not evil enough to be driven out in judgment. Centuries beyond those centuries, God removed Israel from the land of promise because of their wickedness. There are certainly plenty of examples of God’s righteous judgments to quiet the soul when He chooses not explain a particular ruling to us. 7/4/2009 Conversations Within ts
