A friend jokingly asked me the other day if I had had enough “loving” from the Lord. He was referring to the long delays in our house closing knowing the trial it places on me. I jested back that I could use a season where the Lord didn’t “love” on me so much. According to Jesus, at least one-way God watches over our comings and goings is as a gardener. He sometimes comes to us with pruning shears in hand. And, though pruning may not be a pleasant season, every gardener knows when to stop and give the plant a rest. 7/16/2009 Conversations Within ts
