A faucet runs both hot and cold water; it of course is designed that way. The mouth speaks both praise and cursing; and I guess you might say in one sense, it too was designed that way. Jesus said that the mouth speaks what is in the heart. God may have designed the mouth to reflect our inner life, but He did not design our inner life to know corruption. And, that’s exactly what a corruption is, an alteration in design so that something does the exact opposite of it original purpose. As Jesus heals the heart, we will notice the difference in what that pours from the mouth. 8/26/2009 Conversations Within
