How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! Ps.133.1 NIV
The imagery in this Psalm of oil running down, and of dew descending, paints one clear benefit of unity. It is a refreshing grace flowing down from the Holy Spirit. God’s people are revived because they are continually stimulated to love and good works when they walk as one people. Unity is so much more than doctrinal agreement. It is a shared commitment to the life and well being of those in the Christian family. True unity is nothing less than a living community. Imagine the sense of tribal security when you know that your brothers and sisters are as committed to your life and concerns as they are their own. 8/1/2009 Conversations Within ts
