What does it mean to eat at the table of Jesus, if it does not mean to be satisfied? If we hunger to be right with God He has promised to make it so. We can add nothing to His perfect sacrifice except to eat, drink and be satisfied. Do I want lasting peace? The Prince of Peace offers a tranquility that passes understanding to every person who is content to leave all cares with Him. Jesus satisfies our longing to be loved. To eat at the Shepherd’s table is to want for nothing--our part, it seems, is to realize this. 2/8/2010 Conversations Within ts
