But godliness with contentment is great gain. 1Tim.6.6 KJV

To live life where every attitude and activity is measured by what pleases God is the essential quality of true godliness. Living with an inclination to please Him, will move us toward material contentment. But contentment by itself is not always a virtue. Being satisfied is a virtue only when it is married to godliness.
