We are told a number of times that the fear of the Lord leads us to a happy and satisfying life. Not fear in the sense of terror or dread but fear in the sense of coming wide awake to all that God is for us. A healthy fear of God not only motivates us to avoid foolish behavior it assures us of His protection when we behave as we should. Why is this so satisfying? Probably in the same way a child is satisfied by the consistent behavior they find in parents that love them. 2/6/10 Conversations Within ts
