Love is the gift we give to not only to others but also to ourselves. Jesus has proved this to us. Do we not love Him because He first loved us? His love for us has given birth to the gift to our love for Him. This is one reason why He is so keen on love. He wants us to share this joy. It seems no coincidence to me that His birth is the world's celebration of loving and gift giving.
