Sweet rest! We need it, and God commands it. It may seem strange that God commands us to rest until we realize that every good parent commands their children to eat their greens. People often need to be told what is good for them and every commandment of God is just that; they are good for us. He is always telling us what is good for us because He is good. In our present state most of us don't like being told what to do. God of course knows this and also knows that it is in our best interest to suck it up and get over our rebellious streak and do what we are told. My Dad used to say, “Eat this boy; its good for you.” God is telling us, “Rest! Its good for you.” 12/14/2010 Conversations Within ts (Oak Mountain AL)
