I can think of only a few accusations to hold back one's tears; temper tantrum tears or the tears of a spoiled child or “crying over spilled milk.” Most of the time it is not necessary for people to apologize or be embarrassed for this precious release of the soul. Tears spill because the cup of tender affections is running over. I think this is why we are told to weep with those who weep instead of telling people not to cry. Let proper tears flow and certainly those that share the hurts of a friend, even if the hurt is God's. Conversations Within ts 3/31/2012 (On the Road)
