“Blessed are those who mourn.” Jesus

The night of sadness is appointed to us in this world just as surely as are days of joy. For every happy song, there is sad one waiting to be sung. Are not sorrow and joy partners in the dance of life even as pain and pleasure share the same race? We may even paraphrase the words of Jesus to say, “Happy are the unhappy, for they shall be comforted.” Do not shy away from the value of tender tears; God uses them to water the garden of godliness.
