One story that has stuck with me through the years involves a man standing beside a river looking for a way to cross. Several men, George Washington among them, rode up on horses. The man politely asked Washington for a ride across the river and was given one. When they got to the other side, someone in the party asked the man why he had asked “that man” instead of any of the others for the ride. The man replied that Washington had a “Yes” face.
