People of hardship are often the most thankful. Like hardened trees growing on a wind blown summit, the gusts of tough times have pruned away any dead limbs of ingratitude and caused the roots of trust to grow deep into the Rock of Ages. Such people possess an inner strength, a solidness of faith expressed in simple gratitude.
