May the road rise up to meet you.

May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields.... Unless of course you need a kick in the seat of your pants.

“Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons.” Heb.12

Who does not appreciate times of ease and gracious seasons of prosperity and health. But living on easy street may not always be in our best interest, especially if we have grown complacent about spiritual matters. Sometimes God lavishly spoils us like a grandparent but He certainly disciplines us as a parent. Thank Him that He does. I do not think He does this to punish for punishments sake but to prune us of things holding us back from growing up into Christ. He inspires us to greater spiritual heights. Sometimes this may mean a kick in the seat of the pants to get us moving. 11/22/11 Conversations Within ts (Between, GA)
