“My peace I give you.” Jesus
In the simplest terms Jesus was born to bring peace on earth. Who doesn't want peace. That we want peace pretty much means that we don't have it as a lasting condition. We know moments of it, but like most things in this world, it passes. I tend to be in and out of it, sometimes several times a day. What is emphatic from the teaching of New Testament is that we already have peace with God because of His accomplishments on the cross. The problem is that we don't feel like we do and this spills over on to every thing else.
