There are many things in this world that remind us that this life must pass if we are to be as happy as God intends us to be. No matter how wonderful our celebrations are in this place they will always lack the luster of all that is promised. Batteries are not included, festive lights have to be replaced, toys break, and loved ones fall ill and die even at Christmas time. But all these temporal trials serve to remind us that a more glorious age is coming. The Prince of Peace returns not to renovate and remodel this world but to demolish and replace it with a new one. The same can be said for each of us. The seed must fall to the ground and die before it is raised an eternal harvest. 2/16/11 Conversations Within ts (Chelsea , AL)
