When we look down on others we have lost sight of the delights of love. The only time we should be looking down is to help someone up. Even then, when we help people up it should not be to join us on some perch of pride but to something of real value. Love moves us to compassion and the desire to help; pride to contempt and a critical spirit. Pride pontificates, love lends support. Conversations Within ts 2/21/2012 (Birmingham, AL)
