“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life.” Mt.6.25
If we think back to what Christ has just said about God and money, His admonition not to worry is building on the comparison of trusting God or money. Would we worry about our finances if we just inherited ten million dollars? Would ten million be enough to ease our anxieties? How much money would it take to make us feel secure? If money has the power to take care of our needs, is God any less powerful. Do you see what an insult it is to God to trust and serve money but doubt Him. Every economy rises or falls as God decides. Money works only because God decides that it works. What silly people we are to trust paper and coin, when God offers to care for us. Someone said, "All I ask is a chance to prove that money can't make me happy." Well, we have that opportunity every day. 1/3/2010 Conversations Within ts
