Just me trying to be honest with God.

“The finest clothing made is a person’s skin, but, of course, society demands something more than this.” Mark Twain

“Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.” Mt.6.28-29 ESV

In our day, clothing seems less a concern than shelter. So much of our time and energy is spent on basic housing. Beyond food and clothing, does God promise to provide a roof over our head? Christ said, "The foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head." Even so, homeless and hanging from a cross, Jesus was able to provide shelter for His mother by asking a friend to care for her. The lilies of the field assure us that God is more than able to provide, even to the summit of extravagance. 1/7/2010 Conversations Within ts
