"Ask, and it will be given to you…” (Sermon on the Mount) Mt.7.7 ESV
I was sitting in a discussion the other day where the leader asked, “What question would you want to ask God when you get to heaven.” My first thought was, “Why wait for heaven?” Nothing exists between God and his children that Christ did not come to remedy. Nothing prevents us from asking God anything except the muzzle of our own doubts. And, all doubts dissolve when we are confident that Jesus would happily represent our request to His Father. Jesus encourages us to ask, to ask the Father whatever you wish; just ask. We are not promised that He will give us what we want or that He will answer the way we want Him to, only that He will certainly answer all who approach Him in the name. 1/14/2010 Conversations Within ts
